Jaide’s Hair Cut for the ‘Little Princess Trust’ – 30/9/17

Jaide Ellery-Martin Principal of Jaide’s Stage Studios, a performing arts school based in Rugby,  decided after having long hair for years and reading about children who lose their hair through Cancer treatment and other illnesses, that she would have it cut to raise money for the ‘Little Princess Trust’.

Jaide said, “It costs around £500 to make each individual wig, so I set up a ‘Just Giving’ page which encourages sponsors to donate money towards this amazing cause and provide real hair wigs for these sick children. I was very nervous and apprehensive, and really admire those who actually shave their heads, and this was a massive decision for me to make. As a dance teacher I need to set an example to my students so it has to be a certain length to be able to wear it in a hair bun, and I can just about manage it with the length it was cut. Jess Warren of Lisa Collins Hairdesign, based in Norton Leys, Bilton, put me at ease and did an amazing job free of charge, and I love my new hairstyle. I managed to raise a total of £305.00 with some cash donations, and others have still promised to donate. I want to thank everyone who gave me encouragement and donated to such a brilliant cause. I could not have done this without all their support – Thank you so much”
